The continuing story of the lives of Hillside

1
Rachel Evans stood admiring the home in front of her. One of the most beautiful homes in Hillside and it was hers. It was her dream come true, well part of it. In the driveway men from the movers were unloading her furniture. It was almost like watching a movie in reverse, Rachel thought. Two years ago it had been she and her son who done the moving, only in the other direction. Out of Hillside.

Two years ago Rachel had fled from Hillside with her tail between her legs. Fled, she had been chased. Two years ago it had started with a small boy crying in the corner of a class room.

Ethan sat crouched in the corner. He didnt want to look up, he couldn't look up. He couldn't stop crying. The door closed behind him. Soon after he could he the school bell ringing for the end of recess and children's voices as they came in. "Ethan are you OK? What's wrong?" Charlie asked. Charlie was Ethan's best friend. Charlie was short for Charlotte. "Miss Manners there's something wrong with Ehan. Can you come here", Charlie called to their teacher who had just come into the room. Jannet Manners bent over the crouched boy. "Now Ethan what's this? Did You hurt yourself?"
